    DAY 02

    UXMAL AND KABAH

Located 80 km from Mérida, Uxmal showcases Puuc art, characterized by the parallelepiped forms of its buildings, with smooth walls and ornate friezes. Most of the buildings at Uxmal belong to the Mayan Classic period, with some from the late middle phase. The rain god Chaac is represented in multiple buildings, including the Governor's Palace, the Quadrangle of the Nuns, and the Pyramid of the Magician, among others.

Kabah features a quadrangle called Codz-pop, meaning rolled carpet, the arch, Chaac masks, the Temple of the Columns, and the House of the Witch.

(The duration of the tour is approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes.)

    DAY 03

ROUTE OF THE SANTA BARBARA CENOTES WITH ACANCEH OR MAYAPAN

Cuzamá is famous in the region for its cenotes and the unique way of visiting them. The tour through the different cenotes is done in "trucks," which are small carts pulled by horses in an incredible adventure flavor.

Poolcocom Cenote: Open type with abundant vegetation of branches. The body of water is relatively small, approximately 13 meters long by 5 meters wide, with a depth of between 1.5 to 2 meters at the edge and an average maximum of 15 meters at the deepest part.

Cascabel Cenote: Closed type (cave) with few rocky formations; the depth ranges from 1.5 meters to 15 meters. It is a recently discovered cenote due to signs of a tree called "Kopó" or "Álamo". The name of this cave derives from a snake from the region which left its rattle near the ascent area.

Chacksikin Cenote: Semi-open; it has an entrance of 5 to 6 meters wide and approximately 12 meters of free fall. The water surface is 40 meters wide with a huge vault 10 meters high adorned on the ceiling with a large number of speleothems such as stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and stone curtains. The water is crystal blue with quite deep visibility.

    DAY 04

CHICHEN ITZA, WONDER OF THE MODERN WORLD WITH CENOTE AND IZAMAL

Departure to Chichén Itzá, considering the most important archaeological zone of the Mayan Empire. Visit its temples such as the Kukulcán Pyramid, the Ball Game Court, the Sacred Cenote, the Astronomical Observatory, and the Temple of the Thousand Columns, with a visit to the famous Ik Kil Cenote. Lunch at the restaurant.

The city of the hills, located right in the center of the peninsula, could be the oldest colonial city, within which five pyramids stand, the main one being Kinich Kakmó, as well as the Rabbit, Kabul, and Izamatul. Considered a colonial jewel, as all its buildings are painted yellow, and its main attraction is the Izamal convent, which was built on Mayan pyramids, using the stones from them for its construction.

    Return to Mérida.
