  • Yucatan and its roots 5 Days and 4 Nights

    DAY 01

    City Tours

Excursion in the famous open Guaguas trucks with a guide.

Walk through the city to see the majestic Paseo de Montejo, the Parque de las Américas, the Historic Center, the Cathedral, and the Government Palace.

    DAY 02

    UXMAL AND KABAH

Located 80 km from Mérida, Uxmal showcases Puuc art, characterized by the parallelepiped forms of its buildings, with smooth walls and ornate friezes. Most of the buildings at Uxmal belong to the Mayan Classic period, with some from the late middle phase. The rain god Chaac is represented in multiple buildings, including the Governor's Palace, the Quadrangle of the Nuns, and the Pyramid of the Magician, among others.

Kabah features a quadrangle called Codz-pop, meaning rolled carpet, the arch, Chaac masks, the Temple of the Columns, and the House of the Witch.

    DAY 03

CELESTUN: PARADISE OF BIRDS AND PINK FLAMINGOS

Located 96 km west of Mérida, this fishing port, besides having beaches with crystal-clear waters, is an ecological reserve in the Celestún National Park. A boat ride (1.30 hrs) will allow you to discover the mangroves, Bird Island, the lagoons of Valeosera and Quinitún. In this reserve, there are white-tailed deer, armadillos, crocodiles, jaguarundis, turkeys, ducks, and countless birds. The main attraction is observing the pink flamingos, freshwater springs, and abundant vegetation.

(The duration of the tour is approximately 8 hours and 30 minutes.)

    DAY 04

    CHICHEN ITZA

Dating back approximately 1553 years, these famous Mayan pyramids are located an hour and a half from Mérida. The name Chichén Itzá derives from the Mayan words "chi" for mouth, "chen" for well, and Itzá for the name of the people of this region. The site is divided into three areas: the northern group (predominantly Toltec), the central group (from the early period), and the area known as Old Chichen. Only the first two groups are visited. (The duration of the tour is approximately 9 hours.)
